5 Budget Friendly Travel Destinations For 2019

With the reality of 2019 settling in across the country and millions of workers returning to their offices (and their gyms), it can leave many wanting to prolong their time off. And if you’ve got a case of wanderlust, the simple truth is that it is never too early to start thinking about your next getaway. For some of the world’s most beautiful places, the time couldn’t be better to visit.

Iceland

It may seem strange to exchange one frozen landscape for another, but the allure of Iceland is too beautiful to ignore. Iceland isn’t just pretty to look at though; it’s a dream for the outdoor lover. With hiking, ice cave exploration, snowmobiling, snorkeling, horseback riding, and more —  a trip to Iceland would be great for those who find being on-the-go the most relaxing experience of all.

For those who prefer to take things slow, Iceland offers plenty of unique photo opportunities for photographers with its breathtaking landscape, as well as chances to see majestic whales and Northern Lights. And after a long day of taking in the sights, you can unwind with a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon.

Kuala Lumpur

If you’re looking to get the most from your money, a trip to Kuala Lumpur may be in your future. Compared to a number of its geographical neighbors, Kuala Lumpur is a great deal more developed than one might think. Stay at a 5-star resort for $200 or less a night, and take a 15-minute car ride for $3 or less. The MINES Resort City boasts a large shopping mall, theme park, hotel, golf club, beach, spa, and more. Take a stroll through the Selangor Forest Park, or learn to cook some authentic Malaysian food at home with a cooking class taught by locals.

London

According to Freddie Julies of Tourist England, “The fall in the value of the British pound means foreign visitors get more bang for their buck when visiting the U.K., with competitive prices on hotels, attractions, and shopping.”

With political uncertainty and the Brexit fallout, flight prices continue to decline, making this a great time to take advantage and see the London sights. And with so much history and culture, our neighbors across the pond offer plenty to see.

Hawaii

If you’re looking for a more traditional vacation against a tropical backdrop with sandy beaches, a trip to Hawaii might be just the answer. Similar to London, airfare to Hawaii is becoming cheaper due to increased competition and recently announced new routes by major airlines.

From its world-famous waves to black sand beaches and more, Hawaii has been a go-to vacation spot for decades and is still a must-see for any traveler.

Lake Como

This picturesque spot in Northern Italy was regarded by ancient Romans as a holiday destination. And now, centuries later, this lake rounds out our list of top 2019 destinations to visit. Full of charm, nature trails, and history, this spot is home to an impressive array of shopping and dining options.

Stroll nearby medieval villages, take a canoe out on the water or take a dip in the lake itself.
